Mega Millions jackpot up over $200M

COLUMBIA — Are you feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day?  If so, you may want to purchase a Mega Millions ticket.

The South Carolina Education Lottery says the jackpot has climbed to an estimated $201 million.

Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing produced a $250,000 ticket sold in Goose Creek and saw more than 11,000 winners in South Carolina.

Lottery officials also say a customer in Greer purchased a Palmetto Cash 5 winning ticket in Wednesday’s drawing.  However, that ticket has not been redeemed.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be held Friday night at 11 p.m.  Tickets are available for $1 each anywhere South Carolina Education Lottery tickets are sold.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,711,536.

Have you or will you buy a ticket?  What would you do with the money if you won?
